The beautiful Iris flowers have been presented through the medium of oil painting. Some flowers are in monochromatic colours whereas others have shades of multiple colours. The petals of iris flower unfolds in many different ways exhibiting different colours in light. Irises present an opportunity to an artist to mix colours and generate innumerable values, hues, shades, tints and tones. Following are some of the irises I have painted over the years.
