Roses, tulips, daffodils, daisies and poppies arranged in vases have been painted. Each flower arrangement is unique. The vase in each painting is of different colour, material and shape. Some vases are of ceramic while others are of glass.
The setting of the floral arrangement is different. The table on which the vase is placed is of different shape and size in each of the paintings. Some paintings have a backdrop of curtain hanging behind the flower arrangement. The window shows the view outside. The table, window sill and view outside create the depth in the painting. On wider canvases objects have been placed on the table to create balance in the painting.
Peonies with their multiple petals are a fun to paint. Painting one turquoise vase was not enough for me, so I painted these peonies in one.
