Daisies have been placed with irises and other flowers in a glass vase. The stems of the flowers are visible through the transparent vase, as is the reflected light on it.
The daisies have been placed at different angles. This painting depicts daisies in a wide variety of ways; complete flower, partially hidden, looking top down, from the side and so on. Some flowers are front facing while others are half visible. The centres of the daisies look realistic and the flowers have blurred edges forming part of the overall composition. The white daisies go well with mauve, violet and purple irises and blue flowers. The background colours add drama to the composition.
